We created gridded systems to guide compositions that split the difference between edge, sophistication and artfulness. Most important, the principles that inform on-brand layout were also made to instruct flexible, highly structured components that feed into a custom CMS for the Sturdy team.

We developed a range of collaborative tools for Sturdy, enabling users to quickly add any asset available on the site to their collection, which can then be shared or downloaded. Sturdy can now encourage their collaborators to visit the site and effortlessly curate their own collections, facilitating seamless creative alignment and providing a useful reference point.

Inspired by the late 90s and early 2000s web, we incorporated pop-up screens into our website to offer a delightful interruption in the user experience and bring attention to the hidden gems from the Sturdy archive. These pop-ups can be activated intentionally on the homepage or by the user's time-triggered inactivity. Upon returning, users will discover that their window has been populated with captivating pop-up easter eggs, adding an element of surprise and delight to their browsing experience.

The brand elevation and web project for Sturdy balances edge with elegance, employing an artful use of texture and white space that creates a sense of depth and balance. The design incorporates dynamic and energetic elements, from bold typography to subtle animations, highlighting Sturdy's strengths and assets. The overall effect is one of sophistication and refinement, with a contemporary edge that is engaging. This design is sure to elevate Sturdy's brand to new heights.
